We are always on the look out for curious and innovative researchers to join us in our journey to the unknown. Our projects are interdisciplinary and we welcome people from a range of backgrounds, including biology, physics, and computer science.
All UCLA graduate students whose interest lies at the interface of developmental and systems biology can reach out to Amjad to discuss opportunities in the lab.
We are looking for recent PhD grads who want to build toward an independent research career and find our lab’s general vision and research direction interesting. This position is not tied to a specific project and therefore is not limited to applicants from a specific field or area of study. We are particularly interested in applicants from backgrounds that are complementary to existing expertise in the lab. If you are interested, please contact Amjad with your CV and a brief description of your research interests.
We welcome undergrads who want to gain research experience in developmental or synthetic biology. We also have projects on quantitative image analysis and modeling of biological circuits for those interested in developing or applying their computational skills. If you are interested, please contact us here or by email.
Members of all the underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. We are committed to equity and inclusion and strive to create a diverse and supportive environment. You belong here.
